Just in time for Mother's Day...the baby birds arrived. Actually, I think they arrived a couple of days ago. However, with all the rain that we had, we have not been in the backyard to check on them until today.
Lif'e's a dance you learn as you go... Before I had Holden I read every parenting, child care, and sleeping book available. But when he arrived and did not "follow" what the books said he "should be doing" I drove myself crazy! I remember feeling overwhelmed and inadequate, kind of like getting a job that you were not qualified for. As the weeks and months passed, I decided to stop reading and listening to what everyone had to say and just enjoy him. I realized that God would not have given me this healthy baby boy if he did not think I was capable. That is why I love this saying not only with my boys but in life. When we have good times and bad times, each experience makes us who we are...life's a dance, you learn as you go.
I hope that you will check back from time to time to see how the boys are growing and what we are up to. Enjoy!
Who I am...I have been married to Kevin since 2003. After getting married, we moved from Buckhead to Alpharetta, Georgia. On August 30, 2005 we welcomed Holden to our family. I thought before I had Holden I was going back to work, but then he was born and I knew I did not want to miss a moment of his life and plans changed! I decided to stay at home. However, I did not realize that this job would be the hardest, most challenging, exhausting, and yet the most fun and rewarding job that I would ever have. Three years later we welcomed Rylan, born September 9. 2008, to our family. In 2009, we relocated to Ohio with Kevin's job. What an adjustment it has been! Eventhough we are true Southerners at heart, we are making the most of our lives and our journey here in the Midwest. On December 2, 2012, we welcomed our third blessing. So who am I now? I am a child of God, wife to Kevin, a mother to three beautiful boys, Holden, Rylan and Leyton. But most of all, I feel extremely blessed!
