We went to Oxford!

Went we to Oxford! Don't get too excited, it was Oxford, Ohio. Where Miami University is located. Holden's Upward football team was asked to participate in some of their Homecoming activities. I was excited to go to the game because I had heard so many great things about the campus and the quaint town. There must be something about a small Oxford town. It was so cute. Not exactly like Oxford Mississippi but it was cute and the campus was beautiful. As we arrived there were tailgaters in the parking lots cooking, music playing and football being thrown around. For a moment, I thought I was back in the South.
Once we arrived we headed over to Tailgate Town where they had bounce houses, games, food, and music. Before the game the marching band came into Tailgate Town to get the crowd excited for the game. Our little ones loved the music and the cheerleaders! This picture makes me laugh because they are both watching intently. After the crowd was pumped up we headed over to the stadium for the fan tunnel and the game. Holden's team was able to go out on the actual field and be apart of the fan tunnel that the players run through. Just look at these guys! And the coach was so intense. Our boys loved every minute of it. It was such a great opportunity even though we are not Red Hawks Fans.

Once the game began we found our seats and enjoyed a little college football. They have a tradition that with every touchdown the Red Hawks make the soldiers do push-ups. Kind of neat how they keep this tradition going.

Saturday, fall and football, how could we go wrong.
