A week of traveling

Last Monday, we headed to Georgia to see Kevin's parents, better known as Grammy & Dad-Daddy.  We knew that this was probably our last trip for a little while since school starts this week along with all of our fall sports.  As usual, the boys were excited to see their grandparents and Aunt Jen Jen.  While we were in town, we spent time with family, Kevin and I got a little back to school shopping and baby shopping done (which was a huge help) and played a little football.  I am not sure who enjoyed this backyard game more the boys or Dad-daddy?!  I think it is a close call.

Dad-Daddy was play calling and tackling the boys.

I guess he will always be a kid at heart.

Wednesday morning, we decided to take a little adventure to Stone Mountain.

The kids had never been before so I thought this would be the perfect family outing.

Obviously, it has been a long time since I had been to Stone Mountain, because apparently I forgot how steep the incline was at the top of the mountain.  Whew!!  Holden did fine and was determined to make it to the top while Rylan was looking for a ride in his Daddy's arms.

But in the end...we all, including myself, made it to the top.  Whoo Hoo.  It was a little hazy so the views of the city were not as great as usual but it was a sight.

Once we cooled off, we made our way back down the mountain.

A fun way to spend a Wednesday morning in August with the family.  As always, our visits go by so quickly!

Thursday morning, we hit the road again but not for home, instead we headed to Tennessee for the second half of our week of travel...
