Everyday Joys {Week 11}

A recap of our week:

65 degrees in better believe we are outside at the park!  {March 13}

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day early with Lucky Charm waffles.  {March 14}

Sunday afternoon bike rides.  {March 15}

As we were getting the kids ready for bed, we noticed a huge cloud of smoke out of the window.  We walked outside, only to see a huge fire.  We asked our neighbor, who is a firefighter, what was going on.  He explained that every spring and fall our town burns the prairie grass so that it grows bigger each season.  And tonight was the big burn for our neighborhood.  It was a little strange to watch but the kids thought it was just awesome.  Oh, the things we learn in Wisconsin.  {March 16}

Happy St. Patrick's Day from our little leprechauns! {March 17}

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite family celebrations.  I love everything rainbows and green, it just screams spring and brighter days.

Once a year I buy the boys favorite junk food cereal...Lucky Charms, just for St. Patrick's Day.  They are usually excited to search for the pot of gold but we all know, they are most excited about the treats.  At breakfast, I did not do much just a few decorations and beads.

For some reason, I did not buy St. Patrick's Day shirts for Holden and Rylan.  Maybe I thought I did but either way, we found some green to wear and these two had too much fun with the mustaches, hats and beads.

After school, I made rainbow cupcakes and little pots of gold.

Don't you just love the bright colors!

The boys seemed to really enjoy their treats and surprises throughout the day.  So from our little Leprechauns to you....Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Life lately.

This past week, temperatures started to warm up and you better believe we were outside.  The boys rode their bikes each afternoon and Leyton enjoyed our daily walks.

Holden is my old soul and loves to sit out on the back porch swing and read.  Leyton and I decided to join him one afternoon.

With the warmer temperatures and sunshine, we spent many afternoons at the park as well.  Holden and Rylan played football and ran around while Leyton enjoyed the slides and swings.

Our little ballers pulled out their bats and balls for a little practice time.

Sunday after church and naps, we took a family bike ride.

Rylan wanted me to take a picture of us as we were riding bikes.

Pretty funny! On the way to the park, the boys ran into a friend and stopped and played basketball while we enjoyed some one on one time with Leyton.

To say he loved the attention is an understatement.

Well, nothing too exciting going on over here, just loving the weather and playing outside.  Warmer temperatures can not come quick enough.
