A day on the farm with Leyton

A few weeks ago I was asked to lead a small group of Mom's at church.  My initial answer was no but after a few days of thinking about it, I said yes.   Each small group is paired with a mentor Mom and after the first meeting, I knew we had a great one.   Not only is she a mother of 5, she is also the wife to an Olympic Gold Medalist and she loves the Lord.

After our first discussion, we decided to plan a group outing to her horse farm.  Friday, our group met for a little fun on the farm.  Mrs. Leslie asked a couple of her friends to come over and help with the horses and tractors.  First we met in the arena where the kids climbed hay bales and rode on the horse.

Leyton was so excited.  The lighting was terrible but you can see how excited he was to be on the horse.

Leyton got to drive the tractor and lets just say, he was just beside himself!

We ran through the corn and collected a couple to take home before getting back on the tractor and gator.

We picked apples to feed the horses and then we picked apples to make apple fritters.

Yes, we made fritters together and they were delicious!

It was a fun filled day on the farm with these little guys and it was so nice getting to know our group of Moms.
