A weekend of baseball.

Spring sports are in full swing, which means our weekends are pretty much spent at some field.  This weekend was pretty much the same except, Saturday was Opening Day for Rylan's minor league baseball team!  He was a little nervous leading up to his first game, not sure why but I was able to get a few pictures before the game.  Look at this little baller.

We got to the field early, even earlier than we were suppose to, so that Rylan could warm up.  Finally, it was game time and Rylan finally calmed his nerves down.

Out in the field he got two outs as he was playing center and then while he was playing 1st, he jumped and caught a ball for the third out.  I know these pictures are a little blur but I love how he caught the ball and then looked to make sure he actually caught it.

Too cute.

He hit a single and made it to first at his first at bat.

He was pretty excited, especially when he made the first run for his team.  Rylan cheered on his teammates while in the dug out and had the best time. I do not even think it bothered him that his poor team lost, he was just proud he had a good game and made some plays.

All and all, I would say it was a successful opening day.

Saturday after Rylan's soccer game, Kevin and Holden took off for Holden's tournament in the Dells. His first game was not until 1:15 but games were so far behind that they did not even start until closer to 3:00 which meant their second game was pushed back as was a long day for them but Holden's team won which put them to play Sunday in the Championship game.  We packed up the family for Sunday's game.

Holden warmed up in the batting cage and Rylan and Leyton had their own game as we waited for the game to begin.

At game time, the weather started going downhill.  It was suppose to be warm and sunny but it was wrong!  It was cold and rainy!  However, we made the most of it with blankets and umbrellas and cheered on the boys.

The team was down 8-2 and somehow in the 5th inning turned it on and got some runs to tie it up 8-8 in the bottom of the 6th.

There was a drop third strike that allowed the winning run in!  It was a pretty exciting game!

And yes, they celebrated and acted silly with their medals.  I love this one with Holden coach laughing and his other coach bitting the medal just like the boys.

Such a fun baseball weekend and I am sure many more to come.
