Spring Break Road Trip {Stop #1}

Saturday morning we began our Spring Break Road Trip.  First stop.... Indianapolis, Indiana.

When we rolled into town, we went straight to the Indianapolis 500 Museum.

We toured the famous Race Track and the boys "kissed the bricks"  just like all of the famous Indy 500 winners do.  They all thought this was hilarious.

After touring the track, we viewed several cars in the museum before headed to the hotel.

We were a little rushed to get to dinner because Kevin and Holden had tickets for the Pacers vs. Thunder game.  Holden is really into basketball right now and likes both the Pacer and Thunder so this was a fun treat for them.  After a quick dinner, the boys were off to the game and the little boys and I were off to the hotel pool.  Rylan and Leyton were so excited about the hotel pool, they could hardly wait to get in....me on the other hand....

As we were leaving the pool, I get a text from Kevin saying that my camera lens had been confiscated by security. Supposedly, any lens over 6 inches is considered a weapon...whoops!   I was a little shocked and a little upset since the boys had great seats.   However,  these camera phone pictures will just have to do.

Sunday morning, we visited one of our favorite museums in Indy, The Children's Museum.

The last time we went Leyton was a baby so this time he was totally into it.  The great thing about this museum is that it caters to both older kids and younger kids with three stories of exhibits.  The boys loved the Ninja Turtle exhibit and demonstrated their moves.

Leyton loved the Prince & Princess exhibit and actually visited it twice and on the second visit, he did not want to leave!  He loved the costumes and the pirate ship.

The boys dug for fossils, looked at dinosaurs, wrote Chinese calligraphy and played restaurant.

There was a new toddler area where Leyton could play with blocks, water and with a lots of balls.

Here are a few pictures from our day in Indianapolis.

After the museum, we hit the road to our next destination.
