Memorial Day Weekend Recap

Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of summer and this weekend we kicked it off with a bang.

Friday night, Kevin and the boys visited some friends at Lake Wisconsin.

The boys loved it there!  They fished and caught a few and then paddle boarded at sunset.

This was a spur of the moment get together but they had the best time.

Saturday, Holden had his last lacrosse game of the season.  His team played hard and WON!

After the game, Holden had a birthday party to go to while I took the little ones to the pool.  Oh how we have missed warm weather!

The weather forecast on Sunday was calling for rain, with that in mind, we bought tickets for the Brewers vs. Reds game.    However, the weather was beautiful and warm!

We got to the stadium early so that we could watch batting practice.  Somehow we got a foul ball during batting practice and when the players were walking into the dugout, Rylan got a Reds player autograph.

Holden waited until the team came back out for warm ups and was able to get Reds player Adam Duvall's autograph!

The Reds did not pull out win but it was a fun day at Miller Park.

All week long the boys have been asking to go fishing.  Bright and early Monday morning, that is just what we did.   We decided to try a local pond in town.  These three fishermen were so excited.

Would you know that Leyton with his Mickey Mouse fishing pole would catch the first fish.

This was his first fish ever...oh the excitement.

Next, Rylan caught a bluegill and then finally Holden caught one as well.

At one point, all three boys caught fish at the same time!!!

Rylan caught a bullhead fish and was so excited!

Then right before we were about to leave, Holden caught a pretty good size bullhead fish.

Total count for the day was Leyton caught 5 fish, Rylan 6 and Holden 5.  I would say it was a successful day at the fishing pond.  Actually, the boys have been asking when can we go again.

We ended Memorial Day at the pool.

These boys are so ready for summer break and all the fun that comes with it.  I would say we kicked off the beginning of summer with a bang.
