Sunflower Days

Last year was our first experience viewing Pope Farms Conservatory's sunflowers and they were absolutely amazing.  I knew that this outing had to be on our Summer Adventure List.  The actual Sunflower Days depend on the weather and peak season only last for about a week.   So when I received an email last week estimating peak season for this week, I knew we had to plan a visit.

This is the perfect after dinner adventure because the kids can run the trails while admiring the sunflowers.  It is estimated that there are over 500,000 sunflowers planted each year.  If you are wondering what 500,000 sunflowers look like,  just look at this beautiful field.

Seriously, amazing.  There were a few sunflowers that had fallen down so Leyton and Rylan took a closer look.

As we walked the trails, we came to the back of the sunflower field and even the back of the sunflowers are pretty amazing as well.

Leyton loved running and jumping off of the rocks.

Holden was in Green Bay at an American Family Dream Drive Event so that is why he is not pictured.  Trust me, he was living the dream meeting Packer players, hanging out at Lambeau Field, getting on Sport Center and playing football with players.  I will post more on that later.

As for Kevin, Rylan, Leyton and I, we enjoyed the beauty of the sunflowers and our time together.

This simply is the golden hour of the day and a field of sunflowers made it pretty spectacular.

You have the most beautiful family. Love all the pictures. And a sea of sunflowers. What can top that.
