Thanksgiving Break and Our Annual Christmas Tree Farm visit.

The boys were off of school the past couple of days for Thanksgiving Break.  This was a much needed break not only for the kids but me too!  After going back and forth for a few days, we decided to stay in town for the break.  Wednesday morning while Kevin was at work, I had several little helpers in the kitchen with me.

We prepared a few items for Thanksgiving dinner the next day before headed over to the ice rink for a little fun.  Holden and Rylan jumped right back into skating in no time and Leyton finally started to get the hang of skating too.  However, trying to help this little three year old was a lot of work!

Since we decided to stay in town, we bought tickets for the last home game for the Wisconsin Badgers Women's Volleyball.  If you have never been to a game, you are missing out, they are so much fun.  Leyton was dancing the entire time and Holden and Rylan caught mini volleyballs.  The Badgers won and are now advancing to the Women's Volleyball finals.

Thanksgiving Day some of the boys friends from school invited us over for a Turkey Bowl.  At first we started out playing kids and parents together but then after a while, we split off into two games one with just the kids and one with just the parents.   Thankfully no one was injured and we all had a blast.  In fact, I made two touchdowns! I'll call that a successful Turkey Bowl.

The weather was not brutally cold so before dinner we took the boys on a nature walk in the woods before dinner.

It was such a busy day filled with games, football, movies and food that I forgot to get a picture of everyone!

Even though I did not get a picture, we have so much to be thankful for especially our time together.

This is probably one of the first years that I have not gone out shopping on Thanksgiving night or early on Black Friday.  However, I do not think I missed too much because when we finally got out to get our gifts for our Angel Tree Family, there were still so many great deals.

The pond is not frozen yet and the next best thing is street hockey with this crazy crew.

Saturday morning, we loaded up the family and headed to the Christmas Tree Farm.  I think everyone in Wisconsin had the same idea as well!

This is one of my favorite Christmas Traditions.  The boys played on the playscape before we rode the wagon out to the fields to find our tree.

This Christmas is going to be so much fun because Leyton is so excited about the Christmas season.  After a little searching, we found the perfect Charlie Brown Tree!

Our "real" tree we use in the kitchen and decorate with ornaments that the kids have made over the years so we do not need a huge tree but it is always fun to search for the perfect one that everyone can agree on.

We made our way back to the barn for popcorn and cider and look who we bumped into....Mrs. Claus and Santa!

Leyton was a little hesitant at first.  Rylan made sure he told Santa his entire list and I love this picture because Santa was telling Rylan he would be watching him!  HAHA!  Oh the magic of Christmas!

As soon as we got home, we decorated our Charlie Brown Tree and Leyton had the honors of placing the star on top!

Sunday, we went to church and ice skating at the rink once again!

Such a fun filled holiday break!
