Our Annual Christmas Tree Farm Outing

Sunday was a fun filled day.  After church, we changed clothes quickly before headed off to the Christmas tree farm.  We decided to go back to the same one we did last year Hanns Christmas Tree Farm.

There weather was dreary but not as cold as it has been earlier this week.

The kids wanted to play before riding out to the fields to pick the perfect Christmas tree.

I think part of the whole experience of cutting down your own tree is the wagon ride and then the search for the perfect tree.

Surprisingly, the kids all agreed on a tree pretty fast.  If you remember, this is our Charlie Brown tree where all of the kids ornaments from years pasted are placed on this tree.  With that being said, we do not need a huge tree.  Somehow, they all agreed to this beauty.

As Kevin and the boys were investigated how to cut this tree down, I just sat back and laughed at how much they are all look alike!

Holden and Rylan took turns cutting the tree and Leyton, well, he found sticks and thought that was the best thing ever!

Everyone wanted to help so they all carried the tree back to the barn for trimming.

We warmed up with apple cider and popcorn before visiting Santa and Mrs. Clause.

As we were leaving Rylan said, "Mom, I believe that was the real Santa because he had a real beard and his suit was real fur."  I just love this magical time of the year!

We found the perfect spot for our tree.  The kids added lots of memories from years past and we laughed over a few too.

Such a fun filled Sunday with these three!

Saint Nicholas Day

In celebration of Saint Nicholas Day, the boys put out their boots the night before in hopes that they would be filled.  The kids left oranges cookies and milk.

When they woke up Sunday morning, the boots were filled with surprises.

Football and basketball cards were the most loved.

Leyton was pretty excited that he got a "Crusher" truck and fishes too!  He is a pretty easy to please guy.

Since everyone was up WAY too early, they were able to play before heading off to church.

Breakfast with Santa

Kevin's work hosted Breakfast with Santa on Saturday for their employees and families.
I was not sure how Leyton would react to Santa but with his brothers by his side, he did just fine.

We walked around to see some of the activities, singers, dancers and characters.

Rylan decided he needed a tattoo.  Meanwhile, Holden and Leyton went to find some snacks.

The boys wrote letters to Santa before heading out to see the reindeer.  Meet Dasher and Ivy.

Well, this was as good as we could get of the family and Santa's reindeer.

After a morning with Santa and his helpers, we are defiantly getting into the Christmas spirit.
