Weekend recap and a little backyard fun

Temperatures are finally, warming up here and we could not be more thrilled.  With that said, Friday morning Leyton and stocked up on bubbles, water toys and a new sprinkler.  As soon as we got home, Leyton went to blowing his bubbles.

It's funny how a bubbles and sunshine can brighten up a day.

I added boiling water to the baby pool but it was still a cold shock!

Once the boys were home from school, Rylan jumped in the water.  Oh what fun!

Friday night, Holden had baseball practice but they made it just in time watch Rylan's game.

Saturday morning Holden and Kevin left for his baseball tournament an hour away while the little ones and I went to Rylan's game.

Once the games were finished for the day, the boys were out playing in the water.

I think it is easy to see that we are taking full advantage of this weather!

Sunday, we were back out at the ballfields to cheer on Holden.

The game did not go as expected but a little Kona Ice can boost everyones spirits.

Once we were home, it was much of the same, water gun fights and sprinkler fun.

These three!

Monday, the boys were out of school for teacher inservice and with no big plans we had a glimpse of summer days to come.  We rode bikes to the park and found some new bike trails for a little off roading.

Leyton decided it was a little to bumpy for him so we stopped for a little snack break while Holden and Rylan rode around the trail loop.

We ate lunch outside and then made our way to the pool.  Yes, the pool is open here....don't worry,  it is heated.  The kids had so much fun playing with friends and enjoying this beautiful day.

As we were getting ready for bed, the kids all said, "Mom, this was the best day."  Ahh, I can see summertime fun coming soon!

Everyday Joys {Week 19}

A recap of our week.....

This kid just said to me, "Welcome to muscle beach."  Where in the world does he come up with this stuff!  {May 6}

Kevin and I snuck away after a full day of sports for a rooftop dinner downtown.  Such a fun night and the views were great as well.  {May 7}

I was surprised this morning with a Mother's Day breakfast in bed made with love by my three little ones.  Hence the ice cream and chocolate syrup.   {May 8}

Look who found his way into my bed...so cozy and sweet. {May 9}

Warm strawberry cookies on a dreary day.  {May 10}

Wednesdays are made a little sweeter with a surprise donut date after story time.{May 11}

Over the years, I have fallen in LOVE with gardening and it has become my happy place.  I think Audrey Hepburn describes gardening best, "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow." Happy planting.  {May 12}
