32 Weeks and the Crib is up!

32 weeks,

which means less than 8 weeks until December 15!

I can not believe how fast time is flying by!  Baby boy's room is coming together, especially now that the crib is set up.

More pictures to come once we finish the nursery and as the countdown continues...

We finally got Boo'ed!

The boys were starting to wonder if we would ever get boo'ed this year.  Thankfully, it finally happened!

Yep, the season of candy and treats has officially begun!

A much needed break from school!

Holden was out of school for Parent/Teacher conferences on Thursday and Rylan did not have preschool so we took full advantage of this time off and had a little fun.  We originally had plans to go to the zoo but then the forecast was not looking all that great so instead we decided to go to EnterTrainment Junction.

The boys loved all the trains and tiny replica towns.

After walking through the exhibits,

we headed outside for the Thomas Train ride, and yes, I even rode too!

The boys rode the kiddie train

before we made our way to the Spooktacular Haunted Maze.

We went through this section several times!  I am sure you can guess why...for the candy and pumpkins of course.

We finished our day out with lunch and dentists appointments. I know not that much fun but I had to get a little something accomplished on our day off.

At 31 weeks I have officially hit the nesting stage!

I have been organizing everything the baby's clothes, the baby's closet, and the baby's room.  Everything is slowly coming together for our newest little man as I just keep growing and growing!

Just another Weekend

Our weekends this fall have been filled with football, baseball and more football.  I am starting to really feel like a real mother of boys.  All of our weekends are being spent at a ball field of some sort and this weekend was just the same.

First was Holden's Flag football game on Saturday where he was named MVP (Most Valuable Player)!

Talk about a GREAT game!  He had 2 touchdowns, 2 Interceptions, 1 Two point conversion and too many flags pulled to even count!

He really had a great game!

Then today was Rylan's Flag football game where little bit pulled 2 flags!!!!!

He was sooooo excited!!  Just look at him hamming it up to Holden on the side lines!

Now, he did not make any touchdowns but let me tell you he tried extra hard.  Just look at this play when he finally got the ball and set out to run.  Well, a kid on the other team tripped him and he went flying!

Thankfully, it did not seem to bother Rylan, he just got right back up with a smile.  So proud of himself.

After Rylan's game, it started to rain, however, Holden's final baseball game was not cancelled.  Instead, they played in the rain.  Holden had a good game with some good hits and some good slides into home plate.

After all it was a rainy final game, might as well get as muddy as you can.

Whew, a busy weekend spent at the ball fields.   Thankfully, next weekend we only have both boys football games to contend with.   Remind me to never, and I mean never, sign up for more than one sport for each child at any given season.  Lesson learned!!  The kids were fine with all the running around, but man am I ever so glad baseball is over until spring!  Shh, don't say I said that!  But our weekends were just as busy as our weekdays.  Plus, there was very little downtime this fall to have any fun but trust me I plan on making it up the next couple of weekends!

Nothing exciting, just another weekend spent at a ball field of some sort, I guess this is what I have to look forward to for the next several years to come.

Time to say...BOO!

One of our favorite October traditions is to BOO our neighbors.  If you have never heard of Boo'ing, it is where you fill a goody bag with candy, treats and trinkets and place it on a doorstep, ring the doorbell and run.

The boys get a kick out of running as fast as they can back home and trying not to get caught.  Unlike last year when we did get caught and there were lots and lots tears, I learned to text our neighbors before hand and tell them not to let their kids rush to the door.

But before we set out to Boo, the boys talked me into making a special Halloween dinner complete with mummy dogs, trick or cheese and monster teeth.

Yes, not the most appetizing or healthiest dinner for the boys but we have to have a little fun sometime..

After dinner we gathered our goody bags and set out to deliver our Boo's.

Holden decided he would be the runner and thankfully, he made it back without getting caught!  Whew!   However,  Holden and Rylan could not resist peeking to see if the neighbors came to the door.

As I always say, these two are not sneaking up on anyone!  Let the fun begin.  Happy Boo'ing!

30 Weeks and Growing....

With less than 10 weeks until we meet our newest love. I thought I would start posting a picture each week as we count down the days and weeks until our due date {December 15}. Well, actually this idea was suggested by Kevin.  With both boys I took a picture each week while I was pregnant and to be honest, with Baby #3, I just have not been as good at taking pictures of my growing belly!  Partly because I am my own worst critic but I know one day I will regret not taking pictures of this time so here we go...

Kevin turns the BIG 4-0!!!!

This past Monday, Kevin turned the BIG 4-0!  Yes, he is now 40 years old!  40, wow, doesn't that sound old!  I wish I could say we threw a big party to celebrate his big day but with his recent work and travel schedule I just could not get it to work out.  However we did celebrate, it was just a little more spread out than planned.  The first round of celebrate was Saturday night.  He thought we were just going over to some friends to watch football and have pizza with the kids but when he walked in,  the girls we all dressed in black and surprise...it was a 40th gathering.  Lots of tailgate food and 40th birthday decorations.

But the best was his 40th old man's essential gift.

This was a basket filled with gag gifts like hemorrhoid cream,

stool softener,

depends. icy hot, and other funny gifts.

Kevin took it all in stride.  Thankfullly even though he is getting older,  he still has not lost his sense of humor.

Then Sunday morning, the boys surprised him with gifts and birthday pancakes.

Since he was out of town for work and meetings, it was not until Wednesday before we celebrate with cake.  I let the boys decorate the cake just the way they wanted...as you can see that included lots and lots of sprinkles!

Here's the birthday boy making a wish with a little help from his little men.

Happy Birthday Kevin!  We know turning 40 was a hard one to swallow but we still love you, even if you are over the hill!!
