Rylan's Preschool Easter party was Friday. I was not very creative this year with class treats but I will say they are colorful!
The actual party was for the kids only but we were invited to join the class for the Easter Egg Hunt. Since the weather here in Ohio is anything but spring-like, his class opted to have their Easter egg hunt inside.
Now for most kids they would be disappointed having to have their eggs hid inside but not these little ones! They were so cute when they walked in gym and saw some of the eggs. Their little eyes were twinkling with delight especially our little wild Rylan! As soon as the kids were give the ok to go get their eggs, they were off.
Rylan is so funny to watch. The entire time he is running around gathering his eggs, he has his mouth open and is squealing.
He really does not have a care in the world and just has a great time no matter what he is doing. Now, you may be wondering about his outfit, well, I picked out his clothes the night before but then when we got in car I noticed his choice of shoes...
yes, cowboy boots with spurs! Not wanting to battle with him about his choice of shoes, I decided to let him wear them. I did grab an extra pair before we left the house but the boots stayed on all day!
After the Easter egg hunt, we ended the day with a special chapel. As usual, he had a blast!
Lots fun memories and treats to enjoy from the party as we enjoy our Holy week.

Enjoying the view
We pulled out the Bumpo for Leyton the other day and as soon as I place him in his seat, he was looking around as if he was looking a whole new world.
This little guy was taking everything in. He was looking at the floor, the walls, the hall, really everything. I love watching him as he explores and discovers new things.
Rylan loved him in his new seat too, he sat over and talked and sang to him the entire time. Leyton loved his company...
just look at that smile! It's these little moments that let me know these two are going to be great buddies.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
St. Patrick's Day is always a fun celebration for the kids. They love waking up to see what the Leprechaun left for them. This year it was lots of green and rainbows.
But the boys did not look at the table first, instead they were on a search for the GOLD! After searching the house, they found the Leprechaun's gold in the basement!
Breakfast for these boys was a special treat, Lucky Charms!
But not as sweet as this little Lucky Charm.
Just like in years past, I made rainbow cupcakes and cake balls for an after dinner treat.
I just love all the colors!
It was a fun St. Patrick's Day celebration for us all.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A morning of rainbows
Holden was out of school Thursday and Friday for Parent Teacher Conferences. Which meant we did not have to rush out the door in the morning. Since we did not have much planned for the day I made
Rainbow Waffles for breakfast, a favorite of the boys. There is not much to this recipe just just the regular waffle recipe and then lots and lots of food coloring.
Layer the colors in the waffle maker,
bake and then add some whip cream for clouds.
It is easy to see why the kids love these so much.

Look A Likes?
I am constantly asked, who do I think Leyton looks like. I personally think he is a mix of both boys but here are all three boys in the same outfit around the same age. So you be the judge.
Holden at 4 months
Rylan at 2 months
Leyton at 3 months
One thing is for sure, they do look like brothers.

My Little Assistant
Let me introduce you to my little assistant. This assistant likes to be by my side ALL day long. From the moment Rylan wakes up to the moment he falls asleep, he is either by my side helping me do something or looking to see what I am doing.
If I am making lunch, this little guy is up on the counter helping me.
If I am doing housework, Rylan runs to get a dusting cloth to help too.
If I am folding clothes, he starts folding too. And oh, if I even think about cutting or preparing anything to eat, he has his little childproof knife ready to assist.
Don't worry this little guy does plenty "taste test" along the way.
He is quite the assistant. And with a cute little face like this...
I think I will keep this little assistant!

Leyton's Baby Dedication
Sunday was Leyton's Baby Dedication at church. This is where Kevin and I dedicate raising Leyton to the accordance of God. As I was pregnant with each of the boys, I prayed the same prayer each night for a healthy and happy baby.
"For this child I prayed and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him."
1 Samuel 1:27
Then after each were born, and to this day, I am praying the same prayer, to mother them the way God wants me to. Dedicating Leyton on Sunday was a reminder for us to do our best everyday and raise the boys to love God, love each other and to follow God's word.
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is older he will not turn from it."
Proverbs 22:6
These three are a handful but they really are a gift from above.
We are grateful each and everyday to have the privilege to love, care, and pray for them. We are committed to raising them with God's helping hand.

Snow Day, Snow Day!
Finally after several school delays this winter, we finally received an official snow day! Whoo Hoo! The snow started Tuesday night and we woke Wednesday morning to a winter wonderland. We received about 6 inches of snow.
The kids were thrilled, and I was too. Finally a day at home with no where to be at a certain time, I was just as thrilled. The boys played most of the morning and then they made their way outside to play in the snow. I decided since to take Leyton out for his first experience with the snow.
That experience lasted all of about 3.2 seconds.
Just long enough to get the photo for our memory book.
Yep, I think we will wait until next winter for Leyton to really experience the snow.
Holden and Rylan played and played all day.
As they would say, "This was the best snow day ever!" Today it was back to school and back to the routine.
