Fun on the Farm

Holden had early release from school on Friday.  We decided to make the most of the afternoon and headed to Blooms & Berries for Fall on the Farm.  This was the best decision since it rained all weekend.  The boys had a blast.  First stop was the rubber duck races which is always a fun competition between the bothers.

We let Leyton experience the corn box for the first time and at first he was not sure about it but then he did not want to get out.  He did try to eat a handful but we quickly took it away.

Holden and Rylan rode the cow tractor through the sunflower fields.

We rode the tractor out to the pumpkin patch but ended up getting pumpkins from the stacks in the field.

Once we came back from the pumpkin patch, we walked the sunflower path.

It was beautiful!  This is one sight I look forward to each fall.  I love it!  As do I love these 4 guys too.

One last stop to see the animals and jump the hay bales before we headed home.

I meant to take a picture of the boys when we first got to the farm but everyone was off and running so this was the end of night picture...

a little wild and crazy, just like our boys.  I am so glad we took advantage of our free afternoon and had some fun on the farm.  Have I mentioned I just love fall?!  Well, I do.

Field Trip Friday

Rylan's preschool class visited the Fire Station on Friday.  Since it was not too far from school, we walked to the station, which was just as much fun as touring the station.

Once we were there, Fireman John gave the kids a lesson on fire safety and even demonstrated Stop, Drop & Roll.

We toured the station and their living quarters but the kids favorite part was taking peek into the fire trucks.

Rylan listened carefully to Fireman John, especially when he talked about all of their tools.  Rylan has declared that when he grows up he will be a fireman, along with the other dozen jobs he plans on having.  The dreams of a 5 year old, got to love them!

It was a fun morning spent with these preschoolers at Fire Station 52.  Next Friday they are off on another Field Trip again.  I've declared it "Field Trip Friday".

10 Months Old!

Lovable Leyton is 10 months old and into everything!  This months pictures were a bit of a challenge.  As soon as I put on his sticker, Leyton pulled it off and put it in his mouth.

Then once I put it back on, he was off and crawling...

But who could resist this sweet little face.

This past month he started pulling up and letting go, but no steps yet. (Thank goodness!)

Instead, he is a speed crawler!  Wow, this little guy can really get around.  He has also started talking.  His first word was "Momma" and now he says "Momma" all the time.  I can not believe our little babe will be ONE in two short months.  But for now, we will enjoy our little lovable 10 month old.

Happy 10 Months sweet boy!
