A White Christmas {A Day Late}

"I'm dreaming of a White Christmas" 

I must admit, I have always wished for a White Christmas and this year we had one, just a day late.  But we will take it!  Even though it snowed on Friday, yesterday and today's snow was the first "real" snow of the season.  The boys could not wait to get out and play.

I was itching to get out of the house and play in the snow too, so Kevin watched Leyton while the boys and I got a little playtime in.

We do not have a huge hill in our yard but it was just enough to get some good sledding in.

Once again, Rylan loved tasting the snow.  Not sure why he does this but year after year you will find this little guy with a handful of snow in his mouth.

Kevin took the boys sledding at the golf course yesterday for some bigger hills and over to a friends house today so these two have had a blast in the snow.  More snow is predicted for Saturday and for the time being I am enjoying the white beauty.  Now if it is still snowing in the spring, I am sure I will have a completely different thought but for now we are going to enjoy our day late White Christmas.

Christmas morning was full of excitement!  The boys were thrilled when they saw what Santa left for them.  I suppose they were good this year.  Even Leyton received gifts and a stocking full of surprises.

It really is the best sound hearing them Christmas morning.  I know Kevin's parents and Jen-Jen enjoyed every minute of it too.

We opened gifts and it was easy to see which toys were the boys favorites.  Holden's were Skylanders from Santa, his boots from Aunt Becky and Uncle Eddie, his spurs, and lots and lots of legos from his grandparents.

Rylan's favorites were his Castle from Santa, Jake & the Neverland Pirates from Santa, cowboy boots from Aunt Becky and Uncle Eddie, and other superhero guys from Jen-Jen.

An unexpected favorite gift for both boys were from Kevin...pretend yard toys!

They loved these!  They went around acting like workers and even tried to cut down the Christmas trees!

Leyton was just as thrilled that he recieved his first set of cowboy boots too!!

  Are they not adorable!!!!  Now we officially have 3 cowboys in the house!

The boys played all morning in their pajamas with their Christmas gifts, it was so nice to be at home and enjoy this time together.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we spent the morning making cookies for Santa.  First we rolled out the dough and then the kids went to town cutting cookies.

Once they were baked and cooled, it was time to decorate.

Even Dad-Daddy and Aunt Jen-Jen even got in on the fun.

 I think Dad-Daddy had just as much fun as the kids did decorating the cookies.

Here is a glimpse of the finally cookies.

I thought Holden's stocking was the cutest with the boys initials.

We made reindeer food to leave out later that night.  Again the boys concept of more sprinkles and glitter is better was in full force!

We attended Christmas Eve service at church and when we came back it was time to get the cookies for Santa and reindeer food ready to leave out for the night.

Leyton was sleeping or I would have taken a picture of all three boys in their pajamas.

With the stocking hung and finally after the excitement wore off of Christmas Eve, everyone was fast asleep and dreaming about Christmas Day...
